About us
The orthopaedics department has 24 beds, including two luxuriously equipped single rooms. Standard rooms are two to three-bedded with private bathroom. They are equipped with TV sets.
The department currently employs 6 certified doctors, 8 nurses, 2 physiotherapists, 2 nursing assistants and 4 orderlies.
The Orthopaedic Department has an aseptic and septic operating room, surgical ICU and complement ambulance. It provides comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care for orthopaedic and trauma patients.
In the framework of post-operative rehabilitation, we have long been cooperating with the Specialized Treatment Institute of the Trauma Hospital in Brno and
and with the Specialized Treatment Institute Jevíčko, which is located in the picturesque surroundings of the Highlands.
During rehabilitation, the department has its own gym with the necessary equipment.

Workplace equipment
The Orthopaedic Department has an aseptic and septic operating room, a multidisciplinary ICU and a complement ambulance. It provides comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care for orthopaedic and trauma patients.
The department has its own gym with the necessary equipment for rehabilitation. Consequently, it makes full use of the cooperation with rehabilitation institutes.
The hospital's instrumentation allows access to all modern examination methods such as CT including 3D, angiographic examination, sonographic examination, MRI. Interdisciplinary cooperation with other departments in the Trauma Hospital is a matter of course.
Foot surgery outpatient clinic
The foot surgery outpatient clinic at the Trauma Hospital in Brno offers patients comprehensive erudite orthopaedic care in the problem of static deformities of the whole foot and ankle (e.g. bunion, rigid toe, hammertoe, claw toe and hammertoe, transverse and longitudinal flatfoot, heel spur, arthrosis of the ankle joint.......) We also specialise in rheumatic foot problems and post traumatic changes.
We offer a careful clinical examination, explanation of the problem and the possibilities of conservative and surgical therapy. The surgical team has many years of experience in foot surgery and promotes modern surgical trends. We regularly participate in skill-based practical and theoretical courses, lecture and publish on the subject. We perform surgeries at the Trauma Hospital in the orthopaedic theatre, which focuses on bone surgery. The post-operative period is spent in the inpatient ward. Orthopaedics.
